my dash was locked, i guess i feel fine. ------- 28, chicago, a big pile of all kinds of music, video games, feminism, jokes, ranting, photos i took and didn't take. |

How is criticizing someone for being too skinny any different than criticizing someone for being too fat?
Oh I know, one is socially acceptable while the other makes you shallow. There is nothing wrong with my body type, just like there is nothing wrong with yours.
besides the whitewashing in this image… i get it.
i have a coworker who is super skinny. from what an observer can tell, she eats a normal diet, and everyone in her family is skinny. it’s just her type - she’s just built that way.
people say HORRIBLE things to her, CONSTANTLY, about her weight. they say things like “i can’t believe you eat that much” and one of our other coworkers even sometimes makes jokes like “that cracker is all she’s going to eat today.” i try to be as supportive as i can to her because i KNOW how it feels to have unwanted comments about your body.
