Wow, this one of the most ecstatically brilliant artistic moments I’ve ever seen. It’s a recreation of the birth of Laura Palmer’s theme from Twin Peaks, a spontaneous collaboration between David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti. It’s amazing how Lynch is/was directing Badalamenti through visuals and he’s changing the music in real-time. And it’s hard for my mind to grasp any other way the theme could have evolved, like the music was somehow transcendentally braided with the ideas and mood Lynch was expressing.
