my dash was locked, i guess i feel fine. ------- 28, chicago, a big pile of all kinds of music, video games, feminism, jokes, ranting, photos i took and didn't take. |
Spotify made its big U.S. debut on July 14, 2011.
In one week, we’ll be marking the streaming music service’s six-month anniversary.
And in one week, all those users who signed up for the free all you can eat desktop music that day will find out that they’re going to be limited to just 10 hours per month now. You’re also only allowed to play individual tracks no more than five times per month.
Fucking god damn it. Fuck fuck fuck. I use this shit 9 hours a day at work.
Then you should have no problem paying $10 a month. Problem solved.
I will probably end up paying for it, but I”m not extremely happy about paying 10 dollars a month for what is essentially convenience. I mean I OWN most of the albums I listen to on there.
The way I see it, is if you were going to buy ONE album a month, it would be $10, it’s not a big deal. I love spoitfy, i use it all day and all night and on the go.
i’m sorry, i don’t like picking fights on tumblr, especially since they always come to me, but what the fuck is with this bullshit entitlement? so you own most of the records you listen to. CONGRATULATIONS. i am sure your record collection is fan-fucking-tastic.
if you’re so against paying for the hard work and service of someone making all of those albums - and more, that you don’t own!, and more that aren’t even available yet! - available streaming from anywhere, you don’t have to pay. nobody is putting their paws into your bank account. bring them into work and rip them onto your work computer. or put them on an external hard drive and bring that to work. do it the hard way, the way we used to before spotify or dropbox or whatever.
or, pay $10 a month for the service for 9 hours a day times five days a week equals 45 hours a week equals 180 hours a month equals 5.5 cents per hour. really? you’re whining about paying FIVE AND A HALF CENTS AN HOUR for your intense use of an awesome, easy service? screw you, sell me your records and cut your internet connection.
use this way more than 10hrs. first pandora ruined now spotify. lame.
Oh no, I’m slightly inconvenienced by having to pay ten dollars a month for all the music you could ever want!
“Now the question is: Will Spotify users start paying up once the party’s over?” Uh, no. I’ll just go back to using...
