yeah, exactly! that’s the best reason to go to grad school, man. and like, for me, it ended up that i didn’t make it my career. i really enjoyed teaching but i needed a job and health insurance and figured out a way to parlay my master’s into a career, and i think it was the right choice for me on a practical level. but it opened the door - just a crack - to making something that i’m really passionate about part of my life’s work, and i think that’s always worth the time and effort.
plus, dude, in this economy? you’re not gonna find a job anyway HO HO HO. might as well stay in school.
ALSO my last piece of advice is DO NOT PAY FOR GRAD SCHOOL. get a teaching assistanceship with a stipend. they are out there.
